O-Shot Information
Pre-Treatment
Your provider will apply topical numbing cream prior to the start of your treatment. An injectable numbing solution will also be administered once the area is numb. Please let your provider know if you have any allergies to these types of medications.
- Avoid NSAIDS for 1 week (Advil, Aleve, Ibuprofen, Naproxen, Aspirin, Voltaren). Tylenol is allowed.
- Certain nutritional supplements such as Ginkgo, Garlic, vitamin E/A, Flax Oil, Curcumin and other anti-inflammatory nutrients should also be avoided.
Post-Treatment
- Sexual activity can be resumed the same day as treatment if desired.
- Avoid NSAIDS for 1 week (Advil, Aleve, Ibuprofen, Naproxen, Aspirin, Voltaren). Tylenol is allowed.
- Certain nutritional supplements such as Ginkgo, Garlic, vitamin E/A, Flax Oil, Curcumin and other anti-inflammatory nutrients should also be avoided.
- Some swelling and discomfort may occur for up to 4 days following your treatment. If you can take tylenol, please use that.
If you have any questions or concerns, please contact the office or your provider. In the case of an emergency, please go to the Emergency Room.
