We're excited to share a guest post from one of our PFAMily. Our client recently took the plunge and finished a RejuVAnate: Feminine Rejuvenation treatment series. As a well-respected yogi in the community, and most importantly, a loving mother and wife, she's sharing her story to help others feel easy about this simple, pain-free pick-me-up. Enjoy!
Let me just start by saying that your vagina is perfect and you don’t need to do anything to change it. However you might be experiencing some issues that are easily fixable with a completely painless and very effective procedure that I had done with Dr. Zoe. In fact, I love the results so much that I felt compelled to write about it. Masturbation, orgasms, sex and childbirth are no longer taboo subjects among women and this is something to celebrate. Sex is important and wonderful and if you’re not enjoying it because of something preventable, then you need to know about Vaginal Rejuvenation. It’s not a surgery and it’s very effective in addressing common issues like pain during sex, decreased vaginal sensation, incontinence or other issues so many women face.
I count being pregnant and giving birth as two of the best experiences of my entire life. I love being pregnant and I love giving birth. However when it came time to push with my first baby, I didn’t quite get how to do it. I was patiently coached by a nurse and my husband (the world’s best birth buddy, I truly think he would make an amazing doula) on how to push. I actively pushed for 3.5 hours. He would crown and the room would go wild and then he would just climb right back up again. Which meant that a giant head (91st percentile to be exact) was in my vaginal canal for a very long time rendering it, let’s just say, not what it used to be.
I don’t know if it was hours or days after, but I remember doing a kegel and being surprised to feel what I can only describe as “not being able to squeeze it all back together again.” The muscles were difficult to activate, as if my mental connection with this area had been cut off. With time and tons of yoga, there was tremendous improvement.
However our sex life was great, no issues there. I would only pee a little in my pants when I have to do jumping jacks for an extended period of time (which I did in a kundalini class for 3 minutes and had to bolt to the bathroom after) or jump on a trampoline. So I thought I was all good. Which of course I was, however I’m always down for a non-invasive, pain free pick me up.
Fast forward to 2019 when a friend recommended rejuvenation with Dr. Zoe. Dr. Zoe is my go to for everything from my neck up, I didn’t know she went lower than the collar bones. My friend reported that the procedure made her feel tighter, wetter and that she had more sensation during sex. As far as selling the husbands on this expense, just say tighter and wetter and they will co-sign without hesitation. It’s a quick sell. And it really works.
Zoe is my friend outside of her office which perhaps could make it even more awkward when going in for this. But she’s got that soft, gracious and neutral bedside manner which is one of the many reasons we love her so much. Similar to going to the gynecologist or a waxing appointment, prepare to undress from the waist down and lie back on a table. Assume the position as if you’re going to get a pelvic exam but you’ll be pleasantly surprised at how much this does NOT hurt. There is really no discomfort whatsoever, just relax and let the painless laser do its thing. It’s takes about 7 or 8 minutes and you’re done until the next 4 week appointment. I did three treatments which I highly recommend. You’ll laugh out loud when you get the text reminder to “please remember your probe.” Now that’s a message I had never received before.
The results exceeded my expectations. I’ll spare you the nitty gritty but sex is better and reminiscent of the “before baby” days. I feel tighter and definitely have increased sensation. And let me just say that there have been way too many dinner parties where my husband is telling an entire table of couples that “they have to get this done oh my god.” Insert eye roll emoji here. If this makes you curious or you think that maybe you could benefit from this, schedule a consultation with Dr. Zoe so you can ask her ALL of the questions and see if this is right for you.
